SGW ATA

Digital to analogue

Telecoms giant SGW is a market leader in the development of mobile and smartphone devices for homes and businesses, including cordless and corded phones.

Although a declining market, the home phone is still seen as an object that connects families. An ATA (Analogue, Telephone, Adapter) utilises the unused ports in the router and converts them into analogue ports for a home phone.

The simple silhouette tightly conforms to the electronics housed within the device. The diagonal kinked surface catches the light and creates a sense of switching and analogue movement. The small, black gloss lens punctuates the front casing and creates contrast against the matte body.
